Get rid of flies and ants from your home using this £1 kitchen staple and no chemicals

[ad_1]

Spring is now in full bloom but with the warmer weather and longer nights, come pesky insects often in our homes when we have the windows open.

Flies spend the winter dormant in attics and walls and become active again when the spring temperatures start to rise. They lay their eggs on animal faeces, garbage, and in rotting organic material.

Ants thrive in hot weather and reproduce faster in warm temperatures. They often go searching for food inside homes when the weather heats up.

In most cases, houseflies and ants are harmless, but they can also carry viruses and bacteria that can spread when they bite.

Flies can give you food poisoning, E.coli, eye infections, and tuberculosis among other diseases, experts warn.

Other natural deterrents include lemongrass, peppermint, eucalyptus, camphor, and cinnamon.

These natural solutions for pest control can do a fantastic job and leave your home smelling delightful.

As well as cayenne pepper and water, vinegar mixed with dish soap can also do the job of removing flies from your home.

Mix both in a glass bowl and cover with plastic wrap before poking holes into the top. Flies will be attracted to the vinegar in the glass and will fly through the holes.
