Brooklyn scooter rider fatally struck by Infiniti driver

A man riding an electric scooter was fatally struck by an Infiniti driver in a Brooklyn intersection, police said Monday.

The Infiniti driver was zipping south on Marcus Garvey Blvd. in Bedford-Stuyvesant when he T-boned a scooter rider heading east on Decatur St. about 4:25 a.m. Sunday, cops said.

The force of the impact sent the electric scooter crashing into a parked Hyundai Sonata, with the victim flying off his KSR Moto TTX and slamming into a building, police said.

The victim, an adult whose age and name are not yet known because he had no identification on him, suffered severe head and body trauma. Medics rushed him to Kings County Hospital but he could not be saved.

The 21-year-old Infiniti driver stayed at the scene and was not charged, though police are still investigating.

The Infiniti driver was not hurt, nor were his two passengers.

The fatal crash was one of three in a three-hour span early Sunday.

The other incidents both involved hit-and-run drivers in Queens.

Just past 2 a.m. Sunday, a 33-year-old motorcyclist, Kallyn Jean, died after being struck by a driver at a Laurelton intersection. Jean, of upstate Oneida, was thrown was thrown from his bike and slid under a parked 2004 Ford Econoline E350 van. Medics rushed him to Long Island Jewish Valley Stream but he could not be saved.

At 4:55 a.m., a 37-year-old man on a 2021 Znen ZN150T scooter riding south on 50th Ave. in Corona was fatally struck by the driver of a white Honda CR-V heading east on 97th St. Amikar Armondo Marquez-Larez was thrown to the pavement and died at Elmhurst Hospital.

Neither Queens driver has been caught.
